Any Life Member of the IMA Kerala State Branch below
the age of 55 years can join the Scheme.

Option for one time payment
Lock in Period
1 year – up to 50 years of age | 2 year – above 50 years of age
Fraternity Benefits
End of lock in period upto 5 years : Rs.10 lakhs
5 – 10 years : Rs.15 lakhs
Above 10 years : Rs.20 lakhs
If the deceased member is below 45 years or if the death is due to natural calamities or
traffic accidents irrespective of the age of the person, a maximum of Rs.20 lakhs will be
provided (lock in period applicable).
Disability Benefits
- If a member becomes permanently disabled and unable to practice, they are eligible for disability benefits.
- 20% of the fraternity benefit is given as a disability benefit; the rest of the payment is kept as an FD to be payable to the nominee after the demise of the member without interest.
- The final decision of eligibility will be decided by the Medical Board of IMA.
